The 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider is the world's first mid-rear engined berlinetta to come equipped with a retractable hardtop. The car's retracting back-panel mechanism is similar to the one featured on the Superamerica and, when stowed, hides under a double-hump rear deck. The roof folds down into a space in front of the engine bay, in 14 seconds, and the independently operable rear window doubles as a wind blocker.
The real fun begins with the 4.5 liter direct-injection V8, 570 HP engine. Top speed is around 198 mph, with a 0-62 time of 3.4 seconds.
